Module Assembly & QC Procedures¶
Outdated but still useful spreadsheet outlining Module EDMS documents, including drawings and procedures
Module assembly documentation actively maintained here: https://atlas-itk-pixel-quad-assembly.docs.cern.ch/
An overview of the module QC procedures:
-
Maintained on gitlab, accurate description of procedures
- Description of cuts has not been updated to v2
-
Values of cuts are correct in QC code
-
Also summarized in this Spreadsheet
Software tools for Module QC¶
Access module QC tools from module repository: https://gitlab.cern.ch/atlas-itk/pixel/module
- Module QC Nonelec Tools a GUI application for submitting non-electrical QC tests
- Module QC Database Tools registers modules in PDB and generates YARR configs from PDB using itkdb API
- Module QC Measurement Tools python tool for running module QC tests and recording raw values
- Module QC Analysis Tools interprets module QC test results, performs calibrations, and applies cuts
- Local Database intermediate aggregation of module QC data for a site/cluster

Modules with core columns:
Data reporting¶
Software tools:
- Module database reports - ‘backend’ downloads information from PDB and flattens it into pandas dataframe
- Module QC statistical tools - ‘frontend’ performs statistical analysis of module QC data from the PDB, and produces data reporting websites
Pages:
- Module Dashboard - inventory & throughput
- Module Reports [temp] - module performance
These pages are under active development - feedback is welcome (via data reporting meetings or gitlab)
Interface with loading¶
Not well documented (as far as we know):
-
Shipping procedures?
- We’ve assumed that this is specific to each loading site & cluster
-
Return of module accessories to module clusters
- Carriers
- Pigtails
- Peli cases etc
