Ob bare module cell ob base block
OB Bare Module cell/OB Base Block¶
The production and testing of the OB Bare Module cell is all done at the University of Bonn and therefore all the uploading and discussions involving the uploads to the PDB are also held in Bonn.
Production database topics are in case discussed in the OB Cell Integration bi-weekly meetings. To follow these meetings, join e-group atlas-itk-pixel-ob-cellintegration-LLS@cern.ch
Components OB Base Block¶
For identification of the OB Base Block in the PDB the 'Part Number' was choosen, which is the 'Alternative ID' of the OB Base Block. Therefore the 'ATLAS Serial Number' is not linked to any property of the OB Base Block. On every OB Base Block the 'Part Number' is engraved into the backside.
This number looks like 'x-xxxx' where x represents a number. The x before the minus indicates if the OB Base Block is a production(x=1), pre-production(x=0) or a special OB Base Block(x=5). The 'xxxx' part of the 'Part Number' indicates the number of the OB Base Block. For example '1-0534' would be the 534 OB Base Block from production.
All OB Base Blocks are milled out of an aluminium-graphite compound which is delivered in rods. In the 'Property List' of the OB Base Block the 'Supplier reference OB Raw Material Al-G rod' is a reference to the 'Alternative ID' of the component 'OB Raw Material Al-G' in the PDB.
Components OB Bare Module cell¶
The OB Bare Module cell is composed out of three parts, which are the 'OB Cooling Block', the 'OB PG Tile' and the 'OB Bare LS Adhesive'.
The OB Bare Module cell, the 'OB Cooling Block' and the 'OB PG Tile' follow a similar identification scheme as the OB Base Block, the only difference being an added component identifier. The 'Part Number' and 'Alternative ID' for the OB Bare Module cell is than 'BCx-xxxx', for the 'OB Cooling Block' it is 'CBx-xxxx' and for the 'OB PG Tile' it is 'PGTx-xxxx', where the x's represent the same properties as for the OB Base Blocks.
All OB Cooling Blocks are milled out of an aluminium-graphite compound which is delivered in rods. In the 'Property List' of the OB Cooling Block the 'Supplier reference OB Raw Material Al-G rod' is a reference to the 'Alternative ID' of the component 'OB Raw Material Al-G' in the PDB.
For the OB Bare Module cells the problem arises that multiple OB Bare Module cells are glued from one 'OB Bare LS Adhesive', therefore the properties 'Bare LS Adhesive supply date' and 'Bare LS Adhesive ID' reference to the right 'OB Bare LS Adhesive'.
